The olive tree is a small evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean region but now cultivated in many parts of the world for its valuable fruit, olives, and their oil. Olive trees have a distinctive appearance with silvery-green leaves and gnarled, twisted trunks. They are known for their longevity, often living for centuries, and are symbolically associated with peace and abundance.
